You pick up your phone.

You scroll through your contacts.

Then you put the phone down because you cannot think of anyone you feel comfortable calling.

Sometimes, the problem is not that we have nobody around us. It is that we do not feel able to speak honestly with the people we know.

We may be afraid of being judged. We may not want to burden anyone. The people closest to us may be too involved in the situation. Or we may simply feel that nobody would understand.

I am researching how adults find meaningful conversation, genuine connection and a safe place to be heard when they do not feel comfortable speaking with family or friends.

I would like to learn about your experiences.

This is not a mental health assessment, and I am not currently selling anything. Your responses will help me understand whether a thoughtfully facilitated service could meet a genuine need.

The form should take approximately five minutes.

You do not need to provide your name or contact information unless you volunteer for a confidential follow-up conversation.
